Founded by Page Metcalf and Katie Zaman, Common Good Ops grew out of a shared passion for organization - both operationally and communally. We bring a combined 40 years of non-profit business expertise, collaborative people-centered values, and a desire to change the world. When we’re not busy supporting mission driven organizations, you can find us turtle-spotting, rock hounding, or snuggling our cats.
Page Metcalf
Page is an operations pro with 16 years of experience in mission-driven programs across both large institutions and startup environments. Her work emphasizes people-centered design spanning finance, HR, communications, and fundraising.
Page is a relationship-driven leader who believes operations are where values become real: by designing thoughtful, equitable processes, engaging stakeholders, and creating infrastructure that helps teams do their best work.
Katie Zaman
Katie has over two decades of research and non-profit management experience. With a sociology PhD and a background as a Fulbright Fellow to Bangladesh, she understands the mechanics of structural change. Katie has managed an annual portfolio of over $50 million in government and private funding across multiple programs. She is comfortable navigating complex compliance requirements, strategic budgeting, and performance evaluation to ensure every dollar directly supports mission-driven outcomes.
Katie believes that the people who work for mission-driven orgs deserve systems that free them up to change the world.
