Meet the Team

We believe that non-profit organizations deserve reliable infrastructure that represents their values.

Founded by Page Metcalf and Katie Zaman, Common Good Ops grew out of a shared passion for organization - both operationally and communally. We bring a combined 40 years of non-profit business expertise, collaborative people-centered values, and a desire to change the world. When we’re not busy supporting mission driven organizations, you can find us turtle-spotting, rock hounding, or snuggling our cats.

Page Metcalf

Page is an operations pro with 16 years of experience in mission-driven programs across both large institutions and startup environments. Her work emphasizes people-centered design spanning finance, HR, communications, and fundraising.

Page is a relationship-driven leader who believes operations are where values become real: by designing thoughtful, equitable processes, engaging stakeholders, and creating infrastructure that helps teams do their best work.

Katie Zaman

With over two decades of experience spanning global research and local non-profits, Katie brings a unique perspective to the world of grant management and organizational health. A sociologist by training, she earned her PhD and served as a Fulbright Fellow to Bangladesh, experiences that sharpened her understanding of how structural change happens.

Katie’s expertise lies in the nuts and bolts of sustainable impact. She has managed millions in funding across federal, state, and county levels, specializing in the rigors of government grant compliance, strategic budgeting, and performance evaluation. She doesn’t just track numbers, she ensures that every dollar is tied to a measurable outcome and a clear mission.

Katie is a dedicated people manager who believes that the best systems are built collaboratively. She excels at bridging the gap between high-level strategy and daily operations by building workflows and digital tools that mirror the actual, real-world tasks people perform. Rather than forcing teams into rigid, theoretical frameworks, she designs intuitive processes that simplify complexity. Whether she’s untangling a complex compliance requirement or facilitating a strategic planning session, Katie is dedicated to building organizational structures that are as efficient as they are equitable.
